If I were looking for a vacuum pump to get started there are a couple things that I would look for. I have another post about vacuum pumps, but here are some key factors.
First, don’t get anything under 3CFM. It will just take too long to pull a vacuum.
Second, I might consider a 2-stage vacuum pump as a second purchase but a single-stage vacuum pump will get you started and last years.
Finally, make sure it works with your voltage (110v/220v).
